DAILY ROUTINE

Daily Routine

A Day at Lullabys at Little Village

At Lullabys at Little Village our children have all meals together as well as being grouped for the start and end of every day to sing and play together, this helps strengthen the relationships between all of our staff and children and embodies our ‘child first’ approach.

This  is an example of what a typical nursery day in the setting might look like, with our child-focused pedagogy and interest-based projects we are used to ensuring we can be flexible and adapt our day around the children’s learning and levels of engagement.

This is a general guide to our daily routine; it is however dependent on each individual child’s needs and therefore we can be flexible.

For children starting in our Baby Room for bottle times and sleep we will follow your child’s routine to aid their settling process, once this is completed we will work in partnership with you to adapt towards the settings routine.

Play Terms Glossary

Free Play

In child development, free play refers to unstructured playtime that is essential for a child's cognitive, emotional, and social development. It allows them to explore, learn, and develop skills through their own choices and creativity. During this time staff take on a scaffolding role seeking to support children to make their own discoveries, and to foster and encourage a sense of curiosity and of wonder for the world around them.

The primary goals of circle time are to promote social interaction, build a sense of community, and enhance learning in a cooperative and inclusive environment. Circle time serves as a valuable tool to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. It promotes the development of various skills, including communication, social interaction, cognitive abilities, and emotional intelligence, while also fostering a sense of belonging and community among young learners.
