Why Choose Lullaby's At Little Village Day Nursery
Located in a thoughtfully refurbished church hall, Lullabys retains much of the original building’s charm. It is a wonderfully light and airy space with pale green décor and neutral-coloured furniture, providing stimulation for your child through play and their natural curiosity. The children themselves bring the colour! Ofsted-registered to care for children aged from 0 to 5 years, Lullabys at Little Village currently has an outstanding Ofsted rating.
Our baby room is located on the first floor. All other playrooms, including our outdoor garden area, are on the ground floor. While these are divided into toddler and preschool areas, we encourage play across all the age groups.
The almost-open-plan kitchen allows the children to experience food preparation as they might at home. They see the food shop delivered and meals prepared, and they can chat to our cook. Where appropriate, we also encourage them to take part in food preparation.
In the garden, we have a mud kitchen, a sand pit, a water wall, and a table/tray, to encourage interaction with both the natural and the man-made world. Our awning and outdoor classroom mean we can get outside as much as possible.
Our Ethos
At Lullabys at the Little Village, our ethos centres on delivering exceptional and inclusive childcare that aligns with the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and the SEND code of practice. We are dedicated to fostering positive relationships and working collaboratively with parents/carers, the Croydon Send Partnership, Safeguarding Partnership and Early Years Team to offer the best possible start to the children in our care.
Our primary goal is to create an enabling environment, both indoors and outdoors, enriched with a diverse range of experiences and activities that nurture every child's full potential during their time with us. To ensure the effectiveness of these experiences and their role in child development, we keenly observe the children during play and use these insights to make informed decisions in our planning, customising our approach to meet the unique needs of each child.
We firmly believe that the quality of our staff directly influences the quality of the care and education we provide, and we are committed to upholding the highest standards in every aspect of our childcare services.

Supporting Your Childs Needs
Our nurseries are inclusive and open to all. We promote equality and provide positive images and resources that reflect the diversity of our local community. We cater for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and work closely with you and external educational, care and health support networks to help us and you nurture and develop your child.
Key Person For Your Child
Your child is assigned a key person, who takes primary responsibility for helping them settle into the nursery, build relationships with other children and staff, monitoring their ongoing development and forging parental partnership.
Thank you so much for helping us to raise our three children, for giving them such a happy and positive early years’ experience
